About the Event
The Calder Lodge 10 Mile & 6K Fun Run takes place on Sunday 25th October 2026, starting from Victoria Terrace, Calder Vale, Preston (PR3 1SJ). This new event welcomes runners of all abilities — from complete beginners to seasoned veterans — with two distances to choose from.
Both races start together at 11:00am. The 6K Fun Run loops through the village and woodland, while the 10 Mile continues around the scenic local lanes, offering a challenging but rewarding route through the rolling hills of Calder Vale.
All finishers receive a goodie bag including a t‑shirt and race medal, and prizes are awarded to the top 3 male and female runners as well as veteran categories. The event is fully marked and marshalled, with toilets, bag drop, and refreshments available at the village hall.

Race Day Information
Race Packs: Collect on the day from Race HQ (nothing posted).
Number: Wear on the front of your shirt.
Fancy Dress: Allowed — but take care as the race is on open roads.
Refreshments: Light refreshments available in the village hall.
Club Discount: Lancaster Runners Club members receive reduced entry; non‑members must pay the difference on the day if incorrectly selected.
Headphones: Not recommended — runners must hear instructions from marshals.
